Programme
Meet at 2:00 am at the village of Daluis - the guides will be there to welcome you. They will hand out the equipment and give a safety talk. Then, you will embark on a rafting half-day descent of the Var river through the Daluis Gorges, from the town of Guillaume to Daluis (15 km and 2h30 on the water). This trip enables the discovery of the Daluis gorges: the beauty of these brick-red gorges is stunning - it offers a powerful contrast with the bright green surrounding vegetation. The beginning of the trip is easy. This will allow a progressive introduction to the activity. The gorges then start meandering and the rapids become steeper and closer together. There will be time to admire the Clue d�Amen waterfall, a tributary of the Var river which throws itself right into the river above our heads. You will disembark at the exit of the gorges. Then, the gorge opens up again towards the end of the trip and we will reach the exit of the gorges where you will find your vehicles.

Our activities include * Fully qualified and experienced guides, * Approved (European standards), up to date safety gear (life jacket, helmet), * Individual equipment adapted to the activity (wetsuit, windbreaker, paddle), * Shuttle service back to the put-in, * Insurance (civil liability covering ABOARD Rafting's activities).

Additional information * Being able to swim is essential. * Minimum age: 12. * No previous experience of white water activities is necessary. * Things to bring: swimming costume, sports shoes, towel.

Period of validity * April to June, when the river is fed by the melting of the snow.
